Does the Devil hate Latin?

You do know Satanists intentionally use Latin, right?  Our Lord preached in Aramaic and used Hebrew in the Synagogue, his conversation with Pilate was most likely in Greek.  So, why do some Catholics have this obsession with Latin?  Partially, because they don't know any better.  It is a language that was used for so long for the Mass (only in the west, by the way), so it must be important.  Indeed, it is.  It was the lingua franca in the western Roman empire, even during the time of Christ, but Greek was widely known.  In fact, the liturgy in Rome was in Greek until about the 3rd century. Does this mean Greek is holier than Latin?  Not at all, just that it's been used in liturgy longer.  I see people act like Satan hates Latin.  No, not in my Bible, not in Church teaching, and a good example of magical thinking.  The Devil hates holiness, does not matter what language you are holy in.  https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+4%3A1-11&version=RSVCE.  Do not misunderstand me, I do not dislike Latin or have a problem with it, but the Latin only attitude reminds me a lot of the Pharisees.

I have a book coming

I have been working on it for sometime.  I don't want it to be too long or too short, I want people to not feel ripped off.  It is an apologetics book, but I try not to get too deep into things I am unfamiliar with.  It will probably be the only apologetics book I will ever write.  I want to write a book on the Wisdom books of the Old Testament.  I am not going to ask for your money, but please, pray for me.

Evolution isn't what makes us moral

I saw a very odd article on a (pseudo) science website that said that "evolution makes us moral, not religion". Not knocking evolution, but no, it doesn't.  If it's supposed to be "survival of the fittest", there is no place in there for morality.  Shan't you want to ensure your survival?  Shan't you look on only for yourself?  Shan't you form relationships that only benefit you?   Morality comes not only from religion, but from God, there is no evidence, for a scientific materialist viewpoint, that humans should be moral. or even what morality is.  Christians have a reason to be moral.  See. Matthew 5:48.

Abortion is murder

Abortion is the horrible slaughter of a child.  I'm not describing it to you, because medical textbooks do a much better job.  So, why is Hollywood pushing so hard for the wholesale killing of babies?  Money.  In the 60s/70s, there arose a belief that a woman could not have a career and have children, so, what better what than to solve that dilemma, than hiring a hitman?  Abortion is not simply removing a "clump of cells" (which is literally what a multi-cellular organism is), or biological material (biological means something that is alive), no, it's the taking of a human life.  We have, in my country (the United States of America), a Supreme Court that makes laws instead of interprets them, and refuses to overturn one of the greatest injustices in American history (Roe V. Wade).  Abortion is discriminatory, it always targets women and children.

Bishop Hurley and Fr. Dwyer

I'm not sure what's going on.  I am someone that has no problem with "traditional" worship.  So traditional, in fact, I prefer Byzantine liturgy to the Tridentine Mass. (which is true, but, that doesn't mean I have a problem with either, I don't mind praise and worship music either, the Church is diverse, so there's room for many different expressions).  The priest was doing things the Vatican allows, so, did the bishop just have an issue with things he didn't like?  I don't see why he should care, as he's not the one celebrating Mass (usually) at Fr. Dwyer's parish church.  The bishop said Dwyer was causing turmoil, but if that's true, then he needs to produce evidence of such.  And so what?   Why couldn't the people complaining change parishes?  I had a priest that used his homilies to bash Pope Francis.  So, I started going to a different church. (Though, still Catholic, don't confuse the parish church with the parish, there is a difference).  It was a tough decision, and I could understand a priest being removed for that (or at least reprimanded), but I haven't seen evidence that Fr. Dwyer has done that.  I don't know much about Michigan (I know some people from there, and I haven't been there for many years), but I know many times (at least here in the south), smaller parishes get priests no one else wants.  The priest that brought me into the Church was unfortunately supportive of legal abortion (though, to be fair, he never preached it was okay, and did say it's a sin), and whilst I love the man to death, I think that's a problem.  The Pope bashing priest is certainly pro-life (as far as I know, and his non pope bashing homilies indicate that).  These are the types of priests that are often sent to smaller parishes.  The conservative Pope bashing priest is in charge of the only Catholic church in a town of a little over 4,700, and one of only two Catholic churches in an area of  507 square miles, 1313 km squared.  The adjacent county is much larger, and has only  has four Catholic churches, two very large ones and two small ones.  One of the smaller ones (where I came into the Church), had an abortion supporting priest (and is the second parish of the Pope bashing one), and the other small one, has a very kind Nigerian priest, who is theologically orthodox but has some health problems.  He used to be the pastor of the smaller church in my county.  I'm not sure what the bishops are thinking (or even if they are thinking).  I am someone that really dislikes it when people bash bishops, but at this point, I can kind of understand their frustration.  http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/saginaw-priest-removed-from-parish-for-traditional-style-of-worship
